Health’s reality check
Undoubtedly a health focus is reaping great financial rewards for some nutritionists. However, with two-thirds of adults and a quarter of children and teenagers overweight and/or obese, it is patently obvious people are not as health-conscious as these nutritionists assert. Moreover, while more gyms open, people usually fail in attending long-term; indeed, motivation apparently has a very short time span.
While online attention to health may have increased, reality reveals its superficial and spurious aspect with people needing to develop self-discipline, commitment and genuine concern for their health rather than tune in for the latest social media advice.
It’s not rocket science to eat healthily and move more, celebrity-inspired information just misses the simple message that can be found on any health website.
