So, beauty reigns over brains in the pursuit of a male partner (“Why we love a pretty boy,” July 31)This female attitude is something I find superficially amusing but profoundly disturbing.
To ignore intelligence and the challenge of creative communication with a potential partner is to belittle our intelligence as women. It plays to the traditional male fantasy that women are bird-brained.
Of course, science can manipulate its research to suit its theories, but on this occasion I would rather rely on my instinct that brains maketh the man.
Not just the better man, but one who can provide a more interesting, exciting and stimulating relationship.
