Give women chance

NO one will actually know unequivocally whether quotas, merit and/or both underpin the 50/50 Andrews Cabinet composition until these women have time to reveal their competency and capability in charge.

Irrespective of that, when unknown male politicians are catapulted into Cabinet, there is scant reference or questioning of their merit. It is assumed they have the ability to undertake the responsible positions.

Why does having women in the Cabinet make it different?

Isn’t it time we stopped playing the gender card completely, allowing both women and men to fulfil their roles?”
