We can’t ignore image
THE juxtaposition of Confidential stories about appearance, as opined by Cassandra Thorburn, opposite the revealing photo of Steph Claire Smith, raises some significant issues about image. (Dec 5).
How can both genders ignore appearance when it seemingly permeates the media? How can people develop a positive body image when near perfection is consistently portrayed? How can men entertain non-sexual or asexual attitudes to women when sexy young females are so regularly displayed?
