Known unknowns
The subtle but smart snipe at the so-called cognoscenti by Phillip Adams is a timely tribute to “knownothingness”. (“My special topic? Pass”, May 25-26). The assault by experts on everything and anything in our midst is but a maelstrom of disparate thoughts, ideas and ruminations that passes as erudite wisdom all too often. Applause for Adams who at least realises he opines without any pretence of special insights or the arrogance of misinformation. Ignorance can be bliss!
