Redeeming feature

As the class theist, the compassion Phillip Adams displayed for the elderly Anglican in the religious instruction class who was “clearly very, very ill” is a respectful psychological trait (“The day I stood for Jesus”, July 20-21). Understanding the frailty, even foibles of a man inspired by Jesus when one is not reveals that Adams, even as a young boy, deserves redemption for his non-belief and non-conformity in the class.
