ABC fears you, Bolt

INSTEAD of lamenting your exclusion from the ABC, Andrew Bolt, may I suggest you regard not being “a great fit for the ABC” as a compliment, with the current broadcasters frightened of your opinions and views.

Perhaps they feel incapable of confronting these views with balance and reason, allowing their own comments to remain unchallenged.

Your exclusion is to be applauded as is your column in this newspaper, despite disagreeing with you on many occasions. It is fortunate that some media publications encourage genuine freedom of expression, however controversial and conservative that expression is.

It is disappointing, if not disturbing, that the ABC adheres to such proscribed analyses and commentary that undermine our democracy.
